Crowds

This winning image captures perfectly an exciting moment in time shared with the people in the crowd. Some with arms outstretched to catch the crowd surfer, others with their mouths open with shock. The jumper appears to be looking straight to camera, engaging the viewer, asking how the hell did I get here. Timing is everything in this dynamic image but the photographer has also managed to expose for sky and crowd and jumper, often so very difficult, great job Naf!!

As photographers I think we have all been in a situation like this and its very easy to follow the crowd! By turning the camera around towards the group of photographers, Patosan has made a lovely and gently humorous image. I love the concentration on everyones face!

John has captured the reality of commuting at rush hour wonderfully. The fish eye lens allows the photographer to get very close to the action giving the viewer a sense of how packed the train is. Also the slight camera movement blur adds drama to an everyday event. Great shot!

A really vibrant image. I like the way the umbrellas totally fill the frame making you feel there must be many more out of shot. The rain has wetted the cobbles and they add a pleasing texture and colour. View point is everything and alway worth the effort.
