Deserts

I love the high key play ot light and shadow in this image.

There were a lot of images in this contest with foot prints. I found most ogf them detracted from the image. That works well here... and adds to your story.

Again, as with the first place image, simplicity is the key here. Nothing that hits you over the head.... just an image that works so well with limited scope!

OK, so you came in 10th in the top ten. I had to include this bcause I love unique and interesting images.... and that got you into the top ten here.

360 cameras are a lot of fun, and playing with those images gives you great perspectives. Not sure which this is, but I have an Insta360 and a Theta Z1 and I just love them!

A biut macabre!

I do like variety.... and this is like no other image entered in this contest.

I assume this is the moon....

I think a composite with a better exposure of the moon would have made this a stronger image.... but a dead cow- thats prety strong on its own!

When I judge therse contests, I always try and get a wide swath of types of images in the top ten. And I love to get good portratures in there. This one rates.

I find the blue so striking, and against the yellow of the sand, you have great color contrast. Awesome image!

I saw over 100 images of Namibia in this contest. A lot of the same image. And actually a few of this shot.

What makes this one rate, and the rest go into the "No" bin? Light. 100% light.

100 people took this image, this is the only one that stands out.

Again a classic desert image. the sun just says HOT, and that is what dsert is all about. Great image, wonderful framing....

A great combo of a unique landscape, great light, wonderful color and high texture.

A lot of skill in this image. And so unique. Unlike a lot of the classic post card images in this contest, this one is unique in content.

BOOM!

This is the first image in this contest that hits you over the head with color. The first 3 places were all simple and calm.... this gouges your eyes out. No worries- that is good- THIS is what I would shoot! :)

WHile this l;ooks so easy to caprure, THAT MOON! That i9s so hard to do.... and to get the foreground. You are an excellent technician to get that all in the shot.... very good!
