Great contest!

I knew this would be a top contender the moment I saw this image. There were a lot a great decisions made in constructing this shot. Firstly, I love that you selected a piece of jewelry that provides a clean flat contrasting surface to hundreds of brilliant little stones. This really allowed the shimmering diamonds to standout from the rest of the piece. Add to that the rich density of the metallic background, and this is a very well rounded shot that feels rich and warm. Thanks for submitting your work and congratulations!

This photo was a top contender for me not just because of the sparkle from the primary piece of jewelry but because it was so beautifully constructed from a composition standpoint. The contrasting blurred background allowed this gem to really pop from the rest of the image. There was a great deal of thought put into the construction of this image from the reflective surface used, the vibrant back lighting and the aperture settings. All in all this is a well designed shot and truly shows the luxurious glimmer of this piece. Great job! Thanks for submitting your entry and congratulations.

From a composition standpoint, I really LOVE this photo! While I had fully expected my favorite images would come with brilliant color, this image had so much to offer in other categories, I had to place this one at the top. The aperture used is just stunning and creates a dreamy feel while still emphasizing the brilliance of the shimmering stones that fall into focus. The angles of the two rings provide an interesting play on depth and the aesthetic quality of the bokeh simply shimmers, further exaggerating that opulent feel. All this without taking away from the main focal point. Very well constructed image. Thank you for sharing and congratulations!

I had to commend this photo as I loved the creativity used in showcasing this piece! While I've seen shoes incorporated many ways with wedding photography, I really liked the balance of this particular shot. The fact that the ring is centered giving it the focal strength needed, the contrasting soft background that never attempts to compete with the main subject and that the tight cropping means you're not distracted by a second object (the shoe). This is a really nice shot - thank you for submitting it.
