I love this warm sunny diptych, which certainly brightens things up on a dull and chilly day! Lovely choice of subject that perfectly complement each other. I don't know if these two shots are captured in the same garden, but importantly they give that impression, with detail of an attractive shed with a pot of purple flowers, and a close-up view of some more purple flowers filling the frame on the left. Simple but effective, and a welcome flashback to summer. Well done on your top ten placing.
I am not usually a great fan of images digitally manipulated in this way, but presented as one half of a diptych it works really well. I love the clarity of both images, with clean and simple lines and shapes. Creation of the diptych has been done precisely, which all aids the success of the image overall. Well done on your top ten placing.
Fantastic choice of subject for a diptych, as we get a great combination of workshop and craftsman. Each image is more the stronger through the presentation as a diptych, which is well-balanced and coherent. Another reason for the strength of the image overall is that both images have been processed with the same style, so the tones, colours, look and feel of the shots bring them together perfectly. Congratulations on your third place finish.
Although the subject of each part of the diptych would seem to be very different, there is a strong link through the use of deep black shapes against the urban pavement, with each subject moving out of the frame in opposite directions. Each side contrasts, with the legs and heels on the right being more linear, with the circular wheels and its shadow on the left. Composition has overall is spot-on, and the diptych has been precisely assembled. Congratulations on your second place finish.
An unusual and decidedly unexotic subject for a photo, but captured as you have done here and presented as a diptych, the mundane subject becomes anything but mundane. The two separate shots are sufficiently different to be interesting, but sufficiently similar to be linked as a cohesive diptych. The diptych has been precisely presented, which adds to the overall impact. Colours are great too. Congratulations on your winning image.
I love the subject choice here, as it stands out for being a little different. The combination of the process and the finished article works really well, and means the colour palette across the two frames is harmonious. Full of beautiful details and textures, everything works well for a very pleasing diptych. Well done on your top ten placing.
A simple subject choice, but one that works especially well as a diptych. Full of little details, and plenty for the eye to explore. The composition of the lower image is especially strong, with the bobbins of thread well positioned, and the patchwork patches running across the frame on a pleasing diagonal. The partially completed patchwork and loose patches give context to tell a story. Great work, well done on your top ten placing.

This contest is for your diptych images. A diptych is created by selecting two individual photos to present together in one image. The two individual photos making up the diptych will often be separated by some type of border or frame, but please avoid just dividing one single photo by overlaying it with a two-piece frame. To create impact with your diptych, try to select photos which are in some way connected, such as different details of one object, similar subjects, colours or shapes etc. I look forward to seeing your entries.
