Dogs In Action in Water

You have done really well with this image. It is a very difficult subject as there is black and white. You have handled this challenge very well, so well done there. The image is pin sharp throughout and is well composed. It hasn't quite made the top 10 as the sea for me is a little too bright despite the dog being spot on. I love the concentration in the eyes as well. A lovely image, well done.

This image made the top 10 very easily. It is pin sharp, well composed and very well handled. You have retained all the detail in the shadows very well. I love the concentration in the dog's eyes as they focus straight at the camera and beyond to where the dog is running to. I love the splash coming from the dog running in the water which is beautifully captured. The background doesn't detract from the image which is fantastic. A lovely, well taken image, so very well done.

This is a great image. Despite this being of a Spaniel I am still not 100% sure if it should have the goose or not! It is a very well handled, beautifully composed image. The dog's eye is sharp too. I like how you can just see the dog's front leg about to break the water's surface as it shows the dog is in action. A funny and well taken image. Well done.

This is superbly sharp. You have also handled the colours, tones and contrast exceptionally well. This is a hard subject as you have black and white areas, but I am very pleased to say you have managed this fantastically well. The dog is positioned in exactly the right place in the image as you have the correct amount of room for the dog to swim into. The water coming from the dog is very well captured as well. The red toy/dummy works brilliantly well against the colour of the dog. The dog's eyes are beautifully pin sharp and have the correct amount of light in them. A tremendously well taken and handled image, well done.

This is a cracking image. Some wouldn't like the dog's eyes being closed, but for me it is why I like it so much. You have captured the moment where the dog is just hitting the water and is about to go under. Naturally the eyes would close to keep them safe. For me capturing this natural reaction is lovely, so well done. The image is beautifully pin sharp, very well composed with lots of room for the dog to land into and well handled. You have managed not to over expose the image despite a very sunny bright day and a light dog. I love how the dog is holding its head up. It's like it is attempting not to go under the water. A great, well timed and superbly well taken image. So well done.
