Fashion Photography

There are lots of elements in this image to enjoy, such as the choice of venue, the symmetry and beautiful tones of orange and blue. I love the outfit; the colours complement the background. If I were to nit-pick, I would like to see more made of the hair, something dramatic to match the outfit. I would like to have seen the tulle fabric spread out at the bottom for more drama.

The composition of this image is excellent. The colourful beads and glitter frame the eyes and draw you into them. I feel as if the model is going to reach out of the photograph and grab me. The image wouldn't have worked as well as it does if the hand and background were sharp. This is great use of depth of field.

You are entranced by the gaze of the model. The feathers and blurred background make a beautiful frame for the face. The skin has a lovely texture, and it is great to see the detail also showing in the eyebrows, hair and feathers.

So beautiful, the colours are sumptuous. All the elements have come together. The clothing, hair and make-up are perfectly neat and tidy. The red in the outfit, lips and eyes match the red of the leaves in the background. Your eye is drawn to the sharp focus of the subject, which is helped by the blurring of the leaves in the background.

Stunning image. The hair and make-up is spot on. The model is framed beautifully against the red background; the red is so striking behind the torn edge of the blue. There is plenty of detail in the dark hair and pale fake fur. I love the contrast of the textures within the picture. The ripped background creates a sense of depth as the model appears to be escaping out the photograph.

A strong image. The background and the clothing complement each other with their colours and lines, and the sweeping curves of the outfit allow the subject to stand out. There is just enough blur to show movement in the skirt. Great viewpoint and composition.

This image works beautifully in black and white. I love all the different textures such as the pale soft feathers, smooth skin, sparkly headband and earings. For me two small things would make this an even better image, which would be to pay a bit more attention to the lips, which look rather dry. Lip gloss would help this. Also, the eyebrows could be more evenly applied. The eyes are stunning and they draw you into the picture.

The use of light is pleasing to the eye. The blue tones add to the mood and show the smooth shapes of the model and texture in the background. The model gazing directly at you creates a sense of power in this photograph.

The composition, colour and styling are pleasing to the eye. The viewpoint looking straight down on the scene adds to the strength of this image. The old-fashioned clothes of the dolls work well with the more modern look of the model. I would like this to not to be so pixelated: perhaps go back to the original image and process it again to see if this can be improved.

The colour is so strong it really pops and smacks you in the face. The styling is gorgeous. The angular sunglasses compliment the suit. The hand postion with the cane and rings stand out against the orange of the coat. The use of backgound shade and colour emphasise the subject.

I love all the different elements of this image which come together. Such a fabulous outfit, along with the hair, nails and pose. Balancing on those shoes can't be easy. The floor and the pink of the background work well and adds to the overall effect.

This is a beautiful image. For me, one thing that could be improved is the focal point. When I look closely there is detail on the right sleeve and feather collar behind the head. The face isn't as sharp as it could be. The styling is gorgeous. The make-up is stunning; so is the outfit. The lighting works well for this subject.

This is a powerful black and white image. It makes me think of Helmut Newton, one of my favourite photographers. All the different elements come together really well. The model looks strong in her pose. It has an otherwordly feel to it with the dark sky. The choice of location works well.

Strong pose and great viewpoint shooting from above, which adds drama to the image. The stark background helps to show the shapes of the outfit. The soft shadows work well and there is plenty of detail in the highlights. Great use of black and white.

Really beautiful. I love the lighting over the model with the stripey effect, which is also echoed in the background. Very moody and elegant. The focal point on the eyes is spot on, and so is the model's gaze straight at the viewer. The range of colours in the hair is distinct against the neutral tones of the rest of the image and frames the model well.
