Thank you for your contribution to the contest. I chose this photo for several reasons. I appreciate the use angle and profile, the way the subject is framed, and the use of color: the play of the red wall with the red lips contrast the hard against the soft. That contrast is also echoed between the texture of the straw hat with its subdued purple ribbon. For me, this photo is a beautiful balance of delicate and confident.
