Flowers in a Vase (in colour)

Firstly, thankyou to everyone who entered this contest. There were so many wonderful images.

This image spoke to me from the first view. I love the use of the complementary colours, red and green. The choice of vase for these flowers is perfect, especially with the splash of red flowers through the centre. I love how they fan out. They are well lit and set against a no fuss background which helps emphasize the green and red. A great image. Thankyou so much for entering and congratulations on Judge 1st place.

A lovely image of a gerbera and taken from a different viewpoint. This is a simple image but has plenty of impact. I like the shadows on the vase and the addition of water drops has made it more dramatic. the lighting is beautiful. Congratulations on judge 6th place and thankyou for entering.

This is a lovely composition. I love the fact that you have included shadows from, I assume, a blind. Its a lovely arrangement in a sharp corner and works really well. The colours of the flowers stand out well from the red and white walls/ledge. I also like how the light kisses the flowers. Well done on Judge Highly commend and thankyou for entering.
