Great contest!

All I can say is that Dave must be very proud of his garden of Dahlias. This diptych emanates happiness, cheerfulness and pure joy., so wherever you are Dave, congrats and to you the photographer for sharing such a delight. My only suggestion would have been to change the colour of the frame to enhance even more those beautiful flowers.

Viewing this image I immediately thought of the colours of drought. A sense of relief would be felt when those precious little rain-drops would fall and give a feeling of hope and our wilted spirits would be lifted again. Congrats on submitting a thought provoking entry, beautifully captured.

In your words "trying to get another take on a diptych" has served you well as I found this submission to be very appealing and creative. The pretty pink roses ripped in half adds a feeling of sadness to the image, like something that has been torn apart, never to be the same again. Congratulations on your top 10 position.

Mesmerizing is the first word that came to mind when viewing this entry. The red has such an intense almost powerful quality to it and the whole composition is quite magical. The continuation of the stem into the outer frame is also very creative. Many congrats.

Assembled in Photoshop (your description), but with a joyous, sunny, happy and vibrant quality (my description). I congratulate you on a very appealing entry.

As soon as this image popped onto my screen I knew it would be in the top 10. The delicacy is stunning with the soft bokeh enhancing what really is a simple image in its presentation. Oxalis is a weed (well, considered one, I think in Australia), so thank you for your beautiful entry and congratulations.

This entry is very striking in its presentation. It immediately captured my attention with the power of the blue/purple colour against a dark background. The full flower shows strong details and the left-hand panel captures a lovely delicacy as the petals and stamens softly radiate out to fill the frame.

This submission is so very simple (2 panels exactly the same, well almost). On viewing this I knew immediately that they were lavender fields. You have presented an image with a point of difference and by using ICM created an abstract interpretation to my brief (which did say," be as creative as you like"). Thank you for your entry and congratulations.

Once again another image that shows delicacy and softness. Sunflowers can be shown in so many ways and you have managed to present their softer "side.". Maybe I would have just cloned out the tiny imperfection on the leaf in the left panel....but that is me being picky!!

For this contest I would like to see your photos of a flower or flowers, but the image must be presented as a diptych (two panels). Each of the two photos in the diptych can show the whole flower or part of the flower to make an interesting two-panel image. You can be as creative as you like and entries can be either colour or black and white.
