What a lovely shot. The positioning/angle of the cheesecake slice makes this look so tempting. The colours really pop and the additional cream works well for the overall effect. A nice depth of field that still gives plenty of texture to the berries and base of the cheesecake. Congratulations on 4th place.
Judging my first competition was a great experience and was more challenging that I expected. My top 10 changed so many times throughout the process. Thank you to everyone who entered.
The composition for 'Raspberries & Cream' is wonderful, a touch of class and perfectly balanced. The contrasting colours work well particularly with the use of the dark spoon, so clever. Congratulations on 1st place, a beautiful photo.
I do enjoy a good drizzle or drip shot. I find myself waiting for the honey to go over the edge of the toast :) The drizzle stick is nice and close and works really well. The light coming from behind is bright and inviting yet the front of the toast is not lost in the shadows. Congratulations on a delicious 3rd place.
Ok truth be told I'm not a sushi fan however I'm a big fan of this photo. The composition is lovely and drew me in straight away. The light pink flowers on both sides and to the back really compliment the image. Although the knife is out of focus I believe it works really well. Congratulations on 6th place.

I would love to see your photos of food, photographed with utensils in use. The photos can show any type of food whether raw or cooked, however the images must include the use of a knife, fork, tongs, chopsticks etc. I hope you enjoy the contest and look forward to seeing your photos.
