Well done to the second place photographer who has managed to capture this atmospheric wide angle shot of the iconic baobab trees. Nothing says natural form in trees more than this! We think the low angle composition plus the use of the man made road helps lead the eye through the scene creating an intriguing result. The photographer has selected a great time of day to take the shot with the sky reflecting that magical purple twilight tint that comes after the sun has set or before it has risen.
This image goes to show the beauty and power nature has, and how the natural process produces perfectly formed organic shapes and patterns. Well done to the photographer who has taken this month's winning image. We love the subtle colour palette that ranges from deep blues to warm orange tones, plus the final execution of the result has been done to a high standard. The fact that you're unsure exactly what you're looking at draws you further into the image and enables you to enjoy what mother nature has designed. Great work worthy of first place.
