This is a magical shot and a worthy winner. One that really stood out from the crowd with such a dreamy evocative scene.

The model has a thoughtful look that really creates a strong sense of intrigue and makes you question what she is thinking about, where she is and why. Not a photograph that you just glimpse at and move on but one which really draws you in and makes you think! The glistening water-drops create an additional sense of mystery and provide a real sense of looking into to a scene through a unseen window. Very well done!

To me this was great photograph and well deserving to be in the top ten!

The white balance has been used here to enhance the blue tones and this helps to accentuate the cold wet day and the starkness of the view.. We normally see photographs of the coast basking in the sunshine, but it goes to show that images can work really well at any time. Don't let the poor weather put you off taking the shot.

The placement of the street lamp helps to add a little balance to an otherwise stark image. It has been positioned on a third using the classic 'rule of thirds' which helps strengthen the composition. The straight horizon is a must for this type of image!

An image I found myself looking at again and again. Excellent!

A beautiful well thought-out and well- executed image. The strong composition is interesting and gives you plenty to look at and think about. The strong light-rays accentuate the dust and lead your eyes from the window toward the subject.

The difficult range of tonality from dark shadows to bright sunlight can prove tricky to expose correctly - something that the photographer has managed to control nicely.

This is an fantastic photograph - the use of the shadows here from the window frames work well as lines to draw your eye into the image.

The scale if the atrium is shown nicely with the use of the two observers gazing out of the window. The choice of wide angle lens helps to slightly distort the perspective and push the background into a slightly smaller position. The photographer has also ensured that any distortion that is common with a wide angle lens has been corrected and all the lines are straight where they should be. This always helps to make an architectural shot stronger!

I found this image very compelling. The curtains frame the scene nicely and the pillars provide a strong line to draw your gaze into the scene.

The symmetry here is perfectly balanced and something that is often overlooked with this style of composition. Something the photographer here has clearly not missed - the eye is very quick to pick up when something is off centre and pillars are not straight.

A real sense of faded beauty and one that captures the scene perfectly. A very well -executed photograph.

Of all the billions of windows in the world, every one has a view that’s completely unique to itself. It can be beautiful, ugly, dramatic, devastating or an everyday scene with no obvious significance to an outside viewer. Just like windows, a camera lens frames a snapshot of the world and invites people to come and see. What will your snapshot show?
