This image has been very well executed' the main subject may seem like the boy peering around the door yet the other three characters still hold the attention despite the softer focus and the environment is clearly defined giving the viewer a complete story of the living conditions. The high contrasts of black and white background mix so well with the softer tones of the foreground child. Well Done!
I had to ask myself what made this image of a wedding special over all the others and why did I keep coming back to view it. Yes, it has charm focus and sharpness but then so do many others. Clearly the monotone processing is deeply harsh with deep blacks and some white areas that almost burn out. However the timeless feel of this wedding picture has everything to do with the style and processing that the photographer has created. Well done!
This works well due to the wonderful symmetry formed by the close bodies of the four characters that create a curve line that starts with the arm on the viewers right and goes all the way to the floor down the leg of the character on the left. The harsh sunny conditions have been handled very well and despite the strong punch that this mono conversion has produced the textures in the wall and ground have been retained. Congratulations!
This image gets my vote because it made me laugh. It may have its faults if I was to be too critical, such as the family straining to see in the harshness of full sunlight but that pales into insignificance for this literal photo bombing image. From the expressions of the family despite the strained look you know that they have no idea what the next second will bring and tells us a great deal about the fun loving dad. Great fun that should appear on the mantlepiece of this family's home.
This is a fabulous image! Clearly based on Da Vinci's Last supper with half the followers, it encompasses a real feeling of power from the central lady figure who's beauty is enough to gain the attentions of the men but the pose also shows that she is fully aware of her power and will use it. Excellent work!

A great group photo is not an easy task. These are often taken at events and meet ups but you can also show interacting people within the environment in which you find yourself. Your group should consist of at least three people. If you choose to show a group interacting then bear in mind that a group of climbers working together would be fine but a group of footballers playing would be deemed as a sports shot and not a group photo. People, of course, can make the difference between a mediocre and great shot, so look for an element in your group that can make it stand out. This can be the clothing, emotions or even a photo-bomber amongst other ideas. Take particular care of composition, lighting and backgrounds. Although this is a human based contest, animals are acceptable if the image is of, for example, a group of dog handlers or equestrian team which included animals as part of the story. Colour or black and white is acceptable. I look forward to your interpretations.
