Love it well done for touching on such a subject, i suffer from depression and did so much worse when i was younger and i can see characters that i met in a similar situation when i was 18 i really love it and for that i believe it deserves to be in the top ten, its such an awful place to be in when young also very confusing and nice to read the description about it, plus the theme makes it a little less daunting to see.
As soon as i saw this image i knew it was my number one, its so breathtaking, makes me wish id of shot it and been there, its so well composed for a risky image to take with the lead in line used from the equipment and the actual size of the fire and the way it fills the frame along with the black smoke is just gorgeously frightening and certainly guts over fear!
Gorgeous image and that must be a nerve wreaking climb ! in regards to getting to the top of the mountain and walking the rope, i really really love it! you've exposed for the image brilliantly too with that clear blue sky and the white snow being all around even those mid-tones in the cliffs all count for a brilliantly exposed image and rather striking
So sad, the look in the childs eyes and the dad, i dont know what to say to this other than an illness requires a different kind of guts and while the child is less aware of the consequences of this than we are, its still a hard battle to fight whatever the illness...i hope the child is well as can be and thank you for entering this poetic image
Brilliant unique image, guts being up there and guts to get the camera out and contemplate on the settings, great lead in line from the crane? im not sure if thats the correct terminology but it really pulls the image together using that as a lead in line rather than including the surrounding landscape itself

I would love to see the essence of guts over fear, whatever that is or was in life. Be it emotional, physical or just something that caught your eye as a photographer that says this in one shot, I want it to be raw emotion, I would love it to actually touch my soul and perhaps bring a tear to my eye.

I love it! so moody and soft both at the same time! makes me wish id of been there either to take the photograph or have the photograph taken, the height makes it gutsy and the composition is truly stunning all the way down to even seeing that castle in the middle of the camera and girl sitting on the cliff its a little stunner!
