Halloween

A tricky picture to take so well done for making the effort to get the effect you wanted. Good idea on the smoke bombs - I've used both smoke bombs and cans of smoke before and I know how hard they are to work with. I think the moody look might be enhanced if you reduced the brightness in some areas of the frame so it wasn't so even. A difficult but nicely executed picture. well done

A really lovely landscape. The various crosses on the headstones lead my eye around the image. Tonally you have the balance just right. There is just the right amount of black which creates the right mood and the beautiful sunbeams counter the black silhouettes. Nicely done.

There were a lot of images of pumpkins submitted to this competition but the light on yours made it really stand out from the crowd. You have chosen a nice angle, good depth of field, nice gentle detail in the background and with the nice soft natural lighting you have the right balance between light and dark. Good work.
