Great contest!

A quality professionally produced image, I assume within the studio setting but the image is outstanding and fulfils the brief on several levels the covering of the face with the hands but also the covering of the face and skin with the paint material.... Nice thought put into its creation and tastefully done. The lighting and the shading produced make this stand out and you wish to know more about what it may represent........

People may disagree but I find this a beautiful image perfection in black and white - tasteful yet undeniably sensual the use of the hat is very nice and the lighting is gorgeous with a lovely clarity yet softness, I love the shadows that melt the image into the background on the left and the positioning of the model is very clever you are drawn around the image and the focus naturally turns to the face the hands and the admirable 'frontage'..... Very nice it completes the brief and adds more......

As with a few of the 10 red dominates images and this shows hoe effective it is. The shadows are wonderous and hide the face with the smoke nicely. Perhaps the nails could have been red aswell to draw away from the cigarette holder that detracts slightly. A nice cleverly produced image.........

A very nice and clever image the only one that I have chosen to show absolutely no face at all. I see from the title that this is meant to represent the term 'emptiness'. I like the red scarf and the black gloves. Nice use of the smoky atmosphere as background and emerging from the hood. The graininess is acceptable it adds some softness the the scene but I would like to have seen the image clearer, nice composition and the right/left orientation adds a bit of the unusual, the fraction of nudity could have been hidden further as it detracts slightly from the focus of the head, very well done and thank you.....

I have an issue with watermarks in contest images and this one though serving a purpose is very distracting but saying that the image is spectacular. I can see that it is professionally produced but all credit to you and fulfilling the brief to perfection, very nice. The composition is beautiful with the dead space and the tones are very cleverly used just on one other point the smoothness and lighting on the shoulder blade is also to dominant - the image draws you to the hand but the light on the shoulder and the watermark draw you away but this is still very very very nice image.......

Yes, this fits the brief it is a portrait and the face is hidden. There were a few images similar to this but this one stood out due to its detail, blurred yet still obvious, the hand is cleverly positioned and without nails, this may not have worked. The face is eerie but you can imagine multiple scenarios that this may represent. You are drawn to the hand and to the face repeatedly. The tones are genius and the lighting brilliant very well done and created, very jealous.......

I was drawn to this by the colour and the negative space that I am fond of in images. The blue is vibrant and the patterning makes for an interesting concept. It stands out within a group of images which is required in contests. The eye could be clearer but this is a nice thought out image well done.......

In this contest, we want to see portraiture but with the face hidden, individuals, groups but human only, Head & Shoulder Portraits ONLY no full body....... Most of the face must be 'not visible' - small sections allowed but nothing obvious, I would like less than a third. Please, NO masks this is for you to be creative and it's not meant to be easy..... It can be done with other parts of the body, clothing is a nice touch, hair can be sexy or any other objects ......... B/W will work well using contrast but Colour is fine.....

So very close to being in the Top 10 great image but there were so many awesome images but this image deserves comment, nice concept and there was only one other similar, I feel the hands maybe should have been in focus, very well done and best of luck in the next contest..........
