Historical Interiors (in colour)

This image is an interesting view and although focusing on vintage optical instruments, the viewer can see the historical room behind it. Selective focus works very well for this, with the historical objects highlighted. Well done, and congratulations on 2nd Place in Historical Interiors!

The Hagia Sophia is an incredible and ancient mosque, dating from 532AD. This view allows us to see much of the remarkable historic interior. The inclusion of visitors gives the sense of its enormous scale. Truly a remarkable place, well captured! Congratulations on 1st Place in Historical Interiors!

Sometimes adding people to an image gives it more depth, and that is true in this case. The period dress of the woman helps us imagine how it was to live in that time. Everything from the baked goods to the portrait of the queen, to the china helps convey the story of the woman in her home. Nicely captured and just lovely!

Old shops offer numerous photographic opportunities and this one is no exception. The angle of view captures the interior very well, showing a nice variety of goods for sale along with giving a sense of the size of the shop. The light is soft and even, and post processing shows a lovely dreamy look. Congratulations on 3rd Place in Historical Interiors!
