Human Emotion on Statues and Sculptures

WOW this statue shows a man who has been really startled or has seen something horrifying. You can really feel his tension through his wide eyes and open mouth. I like the beautiful sky background as it is non distracting. The whole image is also pin sharp. So well done.

This for me had to be in the top 10 as you have managed to capture more than one statue showing emotion. Also they are children, which as their faces are showing horror, makes it more moving. A nice image, well done.

This is a really warming and peaceful image. You are really able to feel the ladies' hurt as she holds the man in her arms. I like the man's face too as it also shows emotion through his open mouth. This is an amazing take on the brief. There is not only emotion on the face you can see on the statue but you are also transported to the moment and left feeling their overwhelming joy of seeing each other. It would have been a little nicer to have the girls leg on, but for me I like it as it is as you don't keep being reminded it's not there. You are led into the image by the girl moving towards the man who brings you back to the girl. and you stay nicely within their moment. A superb image and a very worthy winner, so congratulations.
