Identical

A beautiful example of the brief. The light is delicious here on the back of the two subjects. As the two nuns walk through the minimalist scene all our attention is drawn to either the dark or the light which counter mirrors the other identically. Perfectly framed, a photograph to be proud of. Congratulations on first place in the competition.

This image caught my eye early. Im sure lots of us are familiar with finding the potential in a space for a photo opportunity and waiting for that moment to come along. The wait paid off, and we get that treat of life imitating art in this playful moment. Im not sure life and art can ever be truly identical, but this is a good example of how close it can get.

I absolutely love this photograph. Lots of examples of a photo that is on-brief as we make our way around the image. From the uniforms down to the shoes, the colours, to the architecture of the building the women are framed against. Keeping the photo fast and up at F4 has given a film like quality, not overly sharp and more of a real life moment feel.

This is a personal favourite and an example of how playtime with cameras can result in a joyous bit of art work. It's repetition in the objects and perfect twining of the machines hit the brief. It's got loads of life to it, regardless of the lifeless subject matter. If you love taking photos I think it shows, it certainly does in this frame.

There's a zen like quality in the uniformity of these identical hanging materials. Shape, position, texture and the bold reds against the blue makes for a gorgeous frame. The changes in light draw the eye around the image pleasingly. Good work.
