Im a sucker for the romanticism within this harsh world but this photograph gives hope and beauty and well particularly ballet as its one of the most beautiful poetic artforms there is along with emotion and so very much of being " in the moment " as you can see from the trust on their faces of pain beauty passion and such dedication to their artform as much as it is theirs, its ours as photographers to then stop the moment and freeze the beauty and motion in time with our own technical challenges in such low light and fast movement thus you need to know your " camera partner " / body equally as much as pictured here it then becomes fluent with the beauty of that bond between you and your machine your camera, you knew it well it shows indeed congratulations indeed on first place!

Stunning monochrome image within a none staged backdrop or from what i can see not digitally altered so i thought what an empowering image it reminds me of the complete sacrifice throwing all your weight and trust into another arms..hoping they catch you out of your own passion Secondly i love the way you as the photographer have captured this and the expressions on the dancers just got me along with technical quality its right up there with technical merit both inside and outside the camera with some post processing tweaks! , thanks for entering
