<b> IMPORTANT: View a <a href="https://www.artnet.com/artists/diane-arbus/">gallery of Diane Arbus’ work</a> before entering this contest.</b> Diane Arbus (1923-1971) was an American photographer known for her black and white portraits, usually photographing her subjects in familiar settings: their homes, on the street, in the workplace, in the park. She had a focus on personal identity, and photographed a wide range of subjects, with her imagery helping to normalize marginalized groups - cross-dressers, nudists, people with dwarfism - and to highlight the importance of proper representation of all people. Any images inspired by, or in some way referencing her work and influence can be entered into this contest.
