I love the composition in this image and the colour tones are so well thought through. You can see the fantasy element in their makeup and jewellery teamed with a usual day dress that brings us out of her world. It's a different perspective to represent women in this way and I'm glad this has been presented in this competition. I would like to see the framing to be just a tad upwards so there is more emphasis on the models face. The detail is also immense, by using a Phase One camera everything is picked up, such a delight!
I'm choosing this as the winning image.
I appreciate it when a photographer uses colour in the image in a coordinating sense. each tone here works so well with each other from the makeup to the backdrop and the hair to the orange hoodie. This shot gives a fashion & beauty feel to it as the model leans back giving the audience an old Hollywood glam pose. I wish the model made eye contact with the lens for that impact however with her eyes away from the camera it offers a cinematic value to it. The editing is superb especially with skin retouching, congratulations.
I really like the subject of this image, the boxer is showing strength and the expression on their face is fantastic. This makes the image up. I would like to see how the lighting was considered here. In my opinion, I'd like to see more detail in the backdrop and the wear and tear of the punching bag. This would be great at being part of a larger series showing the community of female boxers.

Although the image of ‘woman’ has been represented and examined, perhaps more than any other subject, endlessly since the conception of art; the stories of women – their art, their experiences and their un-idealised selves – are in need of a closer look. International Women’s Day is a great opportunity to do this and to train your lens on all that is female.
I love that this has been shot in black and white as it instantly gives a timeless feel to the image. This scene doesn't look constructed and it's carefully considered with framing, you have brought the curtains in the shot and this has added depth between the foreground and the background. You've captured this moment beautifully.

I've seen a lot of images of pole dancers and this one exceeds them all. You've brought the dancer and the pole out of its known environment, where that be a dance studio or a club, you have shot it in a photo studio. This is very good, you have re-envisaged pole dancing as an exercise. Casting is excellent, the model prides herself on the pole and looks empowered. If I were to shoot this, I would consider the frame more with the models posing. The foot is a bit too close to the edge of the frame here, experiment with cropping in your next edit. Well done.
International Women's Day is very important and this is a great way to document it. The composition here has a painting look about it, with the framing of the wall and the women in it. The two women in the foreground make a 'V' shape which brings your eye out and makes you consider the detail in their clothes and painted faces. Next time, if you get an opportunity like this again, shoot from a higher angle for a much different perspective. Excellent use of colour correction too.
