I admire the choice of composition in this image. It's the strength of the shot. Including so much of the scene tells much more of a story than if the photographer had chosen to focus only on the people jumping in the water. I particularly love the inclusion of the two girls in the foreground who, just by looking at the divers, lead the viewer's eye to the main scene in an otherwise (beautifully) busy photograph. A fantastic shot that shows a lot of skill. Well done!
A fantastic capture of the joy and carefreeness of childhood.
From the swaying hair to the splashing feet: the photographer has caught the perfect moment, the height of the action.
The use of narrow depth of field allows us to still make out major details in the background whilst concealing the unessential, making the image clean and neat, the viewer's attention easily settled on the subjects.
I particularly love the contrast of the subjects' pin-sharpness against the softness of the waves - a pleasure for the eye.
Last but not least, the sunset colour palette is beautiful and pleasing, and the perfect final touch to an already successful image.
A truly wonderful shot. Well done!
I've thoroughly loved this image from the moment I saw it. A spontaneous and happy capture with lovely composition. The photographer's choice to include the foreground tunnel, rather than focusing only on the main scene, is very clever indeed. The tunnel effectively leads the viewer's eye to the subjects, its darkness framing the main scene beautifully, making all the light and colour ahead seem even more vibrant and joyful. I love the way the light hits the subjects, catching the water drops and highlighting the children's silhouettes to set them apart from the dark background. A fantastic shot that most definitely deserves first place. Well done!

**This contest is open to photographers ranked 1000+ in this week’s Leaderboard.** Jumping is exciting. An adrenaline filled burst with stomach in mouth, hair in the air (for some) and the bump of the landing nervously anticipated. It can take courage, practise, and fitness! Submitted images can be of anything and anybody jumping, from dogs leaping for treats to motorbikes jumping buses, via kids on trampolines, dudes on skateboards and crazy types in wingsuits.
