Jumping Spiders

Awesome photo! It's cool you got a picture of the spider on a reflective surface. The details you captured on the spider are amazing and the spiders curious expression draws the viewer in. Great image overall and thank you for submitting to my competition!

Wonderful image of a twin-flagged jumping spider looking directly at the lens! The detail you managed to capture on the spiders eyes and hairs are phenomenal! The only thing I think that could've added was if the background was a brighter color which would make the spider stand out even more since it is black/brown. Sometimes I try to bring my lens lower and angle more upward to get different backgrounds but I know if you did that you wouldn't have been able to get the spider looking directly at the lens and the current background still looks really good! Amazing image overall!

Very unique photo! I love how dreamy and soft the background looks. The pinkish purple colors add to the dreamy effect while the jumping spiders big eyes are in focus which draws your attention straight to the eyes. Thank you for submitting such a creative photo!

Great detail on the spider! The blurred background makes the spider stand out but looks a little unnatural which is why I didn’t put this in top 10 but great photo overall! It was a tough call though as there were a lot of great entries in this competition!

Great detailed photo. Try focus stacking or increasing the aperture to get more of the spider in focus. I would’ve put this in top 10 if the chelicerae (green part) of the spider was completely in focus. Thank you for submitting to my competition!

Amazing photo! It reminds of the photo that won APOY 2023 Macro. I’m not sure if you did any focus stacking but if you do you could probably get the front pedipalps in focus too. Or you could increase the aperture from f/8 to f/11 or 13.

Such a cool pose! It was fun to see this picture as it is very different from most of the other pictures submitted. Not only did you capture a very unique pose but you got a lot of detail on the spider too like its green chelicerae and the hairs on the spiders legs. Great photo and thank you for submitting!

Amazing photo! I love how the eyes have a green reflection which matches the green in the background. Great composition too with the spider positioned to the left and the leaf curving upward. Good detail on the spider itself too.

Beautiful image overall! The bright green background really helps the jumping spider stand out. The spider itself has lots of detail around its eyes especially. I also like that the spider is positioned to the left a little so there is some negative space to the right which is also the direction the spider is looking in.
