In this contest please enter your best photos of succulents. No images of cacti please. Cacti can be distinguished from thorny succulents by their areoles. An areole is a disc of tiny spines at the base of each cactus spine or spine cluster that can be white or dark coloured. Most succulents are spineless. Photos of succulent gardens and close-ups are also welcome.
