This is a super beautiful photo with all that is here.
The woman looks like she is rowing right into the sun.
The hills are pretty and I love how they are coming out of the mist.
The lake has distorted reflections which adds interest to the photo.
Another great thing are the little huts or houses across the lake because by having those it makes the viewer realize even without any descriptions that it was taken in one of those countries in that part of the world.
It is great that the woman was in red for this picture because even the sun doesn't have that bright of colors so she really pops here.
Well done on your timing, angling, and overall composition!
This is a fabulous photos in many ways.
There is a timeless feel to this image which is made by the empty bench and that no one appears to be in site.
There is also many great elements to this image such as the lake, the tree, the bench, and all of the other things throughout it.
I really love the angle that you captured it at which lets us view more of the tree. It's colors are fabulous and beyond that are all of its fallen leaves, and all of the other colorful trees on the other side of the lake.
This is pretty much a perfect autumn photo with so many common things found in that time of the year such as the colors on the trees, the fallen leaves, the overcast sky, not much in site, etc. And I have noticed that photographers usually like to include benches in their autumn photographs. There is just something about them that makes the photos even better which is exactly how this one is.
Fabulous job on such a perfect image!

This is a great nighttime lake photo.
The water looks more like a pond than a lake which makes it more interesting.
For being nighttime, this photo is nicely exposed! You can see everything here.
The lake is really pretty and even though it appears small by shore because of the plants, I can see that it's a long enough way to the other side.
Even though you can see lights and light pollution, they are far enough away and it really feels like you were in a little peaceful corner of this lake where no one was around at that time. The nighttime peacefulness of this photo is one of my favorite things about this picture.
If you would have taken this photo on only a few second shutter speed, it still would have been great, but the star trails made it even better. They are in every part of the sky and even reflected in the water! Star trails never disappoint.
Awesome job on taking such a great photo!
This is a fabulous and peaceful morning lake shot.
This photo couldn't have much more elements to it that make it a peaceful image. It's got water, trees, birds, mist, colors in the sky, and soft light. Even the colors slowly change shades as you look to the top of the image. It's super pretty.
It's nice how there's a whole flock of ducks in the water and that they are slightly off center which moves your eye down and off to the side of the image.
This is a gorgeous shot in so many ways. You couldn't have gotten it to be much better. Awesome job!
I love the way the hills merge into the landscape and how each one fades more and more.
The lake is also gorgeous with how smooth the water is and how it blends in so good with the hills and especially the sky.
Speaking of that, besides the mistiness of the hills in the distance, there is a beautiful mist throughout the whole image. I can't tell if there was really mist there, or if it's all from the sunlight pouring in from the left side of the image.
At first you notice the main things (the hills and lake) and then after that you see that there's even more details than you realized such as the lighthouse, the paths, the trees all over, and the house way on the right side across the lake.
Great job on such a peaceful and beautiful image.
This is such a peaceful image.
Photos that are black and white are obviously without color and this really makes us photographers have to focus more on lighting and other aspects more than with color photos. You did a perfect job with the light and shade here and it was a great choice converting it to black and white because of it. There is consistent shade within the tree areas, but there is tons of light pouring in from the open area.
By having taken the photo right as the rowers were in the lighter area was a fabulous choice because they really stand out against the light compared to if they had been in the shaded areas.
Another great thing is the peacefulness here. The water is still, the light is soft, the mist is everywhere, etc. I love images like this.
Amazing job on such a beautiful picture!!!

This is such a beautiful and sharp image.
The fact that so many things are white here (the snow, sky, lake reflections) makes this photo very bright and nicely exposed. There is something really nice about this effect.
The sharpness here is incredible. You can see so much detail! And all of that brightness helps with that too.
Minimalistic photos are great, but I also love photos with tons of things in them like this one. You could probably look at this photo for 5-10 minutes and still not notice everything here. The landscape goes in a lot of different directions, there's great patterns all across the sky, there are some trees right by where you took the photo, etc.
I figured you took this photo in the middle of winter until I read your story behind the image. When I really look now I realize that there isn't much snow here, but because of how many places you see it throughout the image, it makes it appear like there was a lot.
Well done on a wonderful image. I don't think you could have captured it any better!

In this contest I want to see your photos of lakes anywhere around the world. Please do not enter photos of other bodies of water; only lakes. Photos can be in colour or black and white. I look forward to seeing your great photos.
This is such a calm and beautiful scene.
You captured this at a perfect time with the morning sun just above the horizon so not very bright, and the thin clouds being in front of it. The still water has a gorgeous effect and the birds even more. The two by shore are breaking the water's stillness which draws your eye to them more.
At first you notice the main things of the image, but then you notice the tree! That is a really cool one. It is very big, has thick and gnarly branches, beautiful leaves, and kind of the best thing about it is that one big branch growing out of the bottom and hanging over the water! At first it just looks like a fallen branch, but I think it's actually growing out of there which is really interesting since you don't see that very often.
Great job on such a serene and beautiful photograph.
This couldn't be much more of a gorgeous fall shot!
The immense amount of color here is unbelievable. There must be literally a hundred or more shades throughout the image. You captured this at a great time of day (I would say around or just before the golden hour?) where the sun was really casting a nice light on the trees. Not a very harsh light, but strong enough to where the colors really showed up nicely.
The lake being half the image is great because this is one of those times where the reflections sort of look better than what was actually being reflected! You can see more details in the actual trees, but the reflections look a bit more colorful, and the way that everything is more smooth and together gives it a nice atmosphere. Something I noticed is that this photo really reminds me some of those nice impressionistic paintings of fall colors. The reflections definitely help with that.
This is an absolutely stunning photograph! Fabulous job on taking it.
This is a beautiful autumn shot which so much blended together.
The trees have super bright colors, but the littler ones growing along the hill have lots of colors too. The hill matches the trees growing on it by the top, the sky matches the hill, and of course the lake is reflecting everything in the frame. So even with the immense amount of color, it's hard to tell everything apart, especially in the middle of the photo. I think this is really cool because I don't know if I've ever seen a photo like this in that way. Also, from the photo being vertical, it made it smaller and makes everything feel a little bit more far away.
I love that the lake was so still! You almost never see a body of water this still and reflective. It looks as if a giant mirror was placed underneath the hill and trees.
Well done on such a beautiful fall shot!
