Landscapes: far reaching views (in colour)

I love this shot of the Seven Sisters in Sussex, with Seaford Head far off into the distance. The colours look like grains of sand. The image draws the eye along the cliff tops to the distance. The ominous dark sky adds atmosphere and contrast to the chalky cliffs and pebbles on the beach.

This is an excellent shot where the viewer is part of the story.

The image is spot on to the brief with the subject looking off far into the distance and a far-reaching view.

Also, this shot has just the right amount of post-processing/Photoshop work and a nice 3D appearance.

This shot is so beautiful with an excellent choice of subject The view is often photographed but I particularly like this perspective and it shows originality.. The colours are natural-looking and illustrates the right amount of post-production. with care and thought put into post-production.

This shot is so original and definitely warrants a top-five position. The choice of subject is perfect in its serenity and confidence in perspective. There is an atmosphere of calm using soft warm hazy hues and a cool freshness with the mist rising from the fields.

It was refreshing to see a city landscape with far reaching view. The image is pin sharp with well-chosen point of focus and depth of field. Lovely light at dusk. I also appreciate seeing a good description, list of tag words, story behind the image and its location as this shows that time has been put into describing the image and not just the work gone into post-processing.

Congratulations on my first. This ticks the boxes for me: with choice of subject and composition. The far off distance that is just as clear with just the right amount of foreground subject that doesn't detract. There is a beautiful warmth from the setting sun casting a glow over the arid desert. The people just seen enjoying their picnic in a glorious location.

This shot looks so original in composition and choice of subject. It fits the brief with a far-reaching view. This has wonderful depth and the light is fresh and illuminating. You can almost imagine pausing from your long walk across the hills, pausing to take in the stunning English countryside vista.

I particularly like the colours in this shot: the blue and white representing the cold with the reds and browns of the wooden houses representing warmth and homeliness out of the cold. The snow-covered mountain loom up and out of the frozen river. A beautiful composition.

There is so much to commend in this my runner up choice. The detail is pin-sharp, it has a wonderful perspective and depth of view.
