Thank you for sharing this inspiring photograph. While most entries were static shots, there were some very good action photos entered. But this light painting took the action to a higher level. I love this entry. The 4 second exposure seems spot on with the speed at which you turned the washer. The idea to tape flashlights was genius. I don't know how long it took for you to work everything out, but the final product is superb. The only suggestion I have would be to tape a small black or colored circle of paper to the very center of the tub to reduce or eliminate the reflection, which I found slightly distracting. Congratulations on an amazing shot.

This is a great example of a composite image that nailed the brief. The image of the man doing the washing framed by the washing machine really invites the viewer to come inside and look closely. The detail you see in the washer is amazing. I love his huge smile and brilliant white teeth. The movement of the water drops and the arch of the laundry echoes the shape of the washing machine drum, and creates a pleasing effect. I would like to see the washing machine image sharpened a bit/ I also found the hinge on the door a bit distracting. Did you try this on an image with the washing machine door closed? I think some of the water drops might look like they were clinging to the inside of a glass door.

There were many entries of food being prepared, but in my opinion, this was the best. In most shots, the food overshadowed the major appliance. In this photo, with the burners both in front of and behind the food and flame, the stove top remains a major part of the photo and provides a nice frame for the action. The flames and food add to the story rather than stealing the show. The same can be said for the chef in the background.. All of the elements, from the steam to spices, add interest. All in all, a great example of a great action shot.

Thank you for entering this photograph shot from inside the clothes dryer. I love the composition with the partially obscured woman removing the laundry. The clarity on the inside of the dryer door is terrific. You have a great mix of colors and textures inside the dryer. I especially like the bright colors reflected on the walls inside the dryer. Excellent lighting throughout the shot. I like the golden hue of the room beyond that begs the viewer to see what is hidden behind the woman holding the red cloth.

What a beautiful montage of clothes dryers. I love the color scheme and all of the items you decided to include. My favorite item is the framed mirror on the wall. Ironically it shows an image from the camera angle minus the clothes line and poster, so perhaps it is a picture from another day instead of a mirror. The photo feels well balanced and I like all of the leading lines which draw the viewer right into the frame. Excellent work. You have a great eye as well as the skill to create this beautiful and whimsical image.
