Lavender Fields in Colour

I do like the composition and the softness of the whole image. It suggests beauty and serenity.. The differently oriented rows of lavender add a certain dynamic into the image. The shady entry of the stone hut is inviting on this sunny day. This "borie" is typical for Provence and reminds me that the humans were present and active in earlier times as well as right now.

This photo catched my eye immdiately as it totally unexpected, very far from the beaten path. It striked me also by its inspired composition. I do also appreciate that the colours, hues and shadows of the lavender has been respected and not exagerated. The well designed curve smoothens the somewhat monotonuous regularity of the lavender rows. The tiny hut and the small trees underline the immensity of the field and come as a final touch.. Very well managed use of a drone with an artisic eye.

Very charming moment with two pretty and happy young girls dancing in a big lavender field. with a delicately coloured sunset sky. Excellent composition and colour combinations between the different purple, pink and blue hues. The effect of enhanced softness and pink are surprising, may be a bit strong for my own taste. But the whole picture has so many qualities and suggests so much joy that I can't help smiling when admiring it!

Abbaye de Sénanque is a highlight in Provence due to the unexpected combination of an antique monastery with a wide carpet of purple lavender just starting to bloom in front of the old stones. Here I do appreciate the general quality of the photo and especially the respect of the true colours of young flowers.

Excellent harmony between fields and sky for this romantic evening on a beautiful lavender landscape. I like the golden, almost orange sky , the discrete setting sun hidden by arriving clouds and the very soft horizon. I do appreciate the respect of the different purple colours especially in their transparencies.

This is the kind of picture which striked me immediately by its evident technical and artistic qualities. The right place at the right timet, beautiful colours just with the necessary enhancement of the purple fields and the golden sinking sun. I do like the tranparencies in the myriads of tiny flowers on the stemms. And the tree on the horizon comes like a signature!

Excellent composition and very special colour combination, especially with the unexpected brilliant yellow of the broom flowers in front and all along of the deep green of the trees. The soft sky moderates the brightness of the main subject. Aurel (Vaucluse) is indeed an inspiring place for lavender photography.

I do appreciate this very classic picture of a genuine lavender landscape in the mountaneous Provence on a glorious sunny day with friendly clouds. It calls me for a hike! Perfect colours and balance between the sky, the mountains and the field. Nice contrast between the harsh rocks and the soft purple flowers.

Soft landscape with rolling hills with all their slopes covered by huge lavender fields in different and beautiful purple hues.. Their directions lead the eye naturally towards the seldom seen and quite funny "S" shaped rows in the center of the picture where the colours are the most radiant..
