Leaves in Close-Up and Macro (in colour)

A big thankyou to everyone who entered this contest, there were many amazing images.

This image got my attention straight away. It was the lighting that did it for me. The way the light showcases an autumn leaf coming close to its final days. This is proof that not everything has to be fresh and pristine to be beautiful. The vein detail and texture has come alive and it looks quite natural. A very outstanding capture, I love it! I quite like the beautiful colour and shaping of this. It has worked well on the black background which has made it very striking. You have positioned your leaf to show the lovely shapes of the edges and you can almost feel the soft brushed texture of the leaf. A lovely image and well deserved 3rd place. Thankyou for entering.
