OH yes! If there was ever an image that screams out light trails and how amazing they can be it's this shot! Great positioning on the bend, perfect streaks, and what I really liked is that the horizon wasn't levelled off which would have lost the feeling of the descent down the road. Brilliant exposure and a privilege to have seen!
Blimey this is a shot and a half! What really made this for me was how well you balanced such bright lights without blowing any of them out, the leading swooping light trails rounding the image and all of that given perfect context by managing to capture the car so well too (I'm guessing the car must have been stationary?). A brilliant bit of composition and to have the vision of how the light trails will balance it so well. Seriously great photography!
This for me was a stand out shot, a magical bit of photography! The trails being the immediate draw of the eye, with a lovely S shape and all thats needed to let the viewer know that the road continues in the same manner without seeing it. THEN... the eye can pull back and take in the rest of the image and the various layers from front to back! All very well balanced, and exposed. Genuinely could stare at this for a long time. Congratulations!!
WOW! You found an absolute corker of a composition here, and topped off brilliantly with the light trails leading us through the image. THe different levels really make it, from the very top to the lowest one and then the texture of the surrounding landscape makes for a very gritty and cool image. Well done!
Yes yes yes! This is simplicity working at it's best. Composition is great, with just enough light to make out the layers and catching the failing light of the sky and remnants of the end of the day but the S shape of those light trails absolutely pop of the screen giving a perfect balance against the light of the sky. Fabulous shot!
Now this is a shot that feels not from this world, and exceptional composition and find just that on it's own but on top of that you picked up the colours and detail so well in what must have been a very dark location. I loved how the light trails encircled the main rock face as if to say this is the magical rising of the landscape. Brilliant how just the one car's lights change from being head on to tail lights as it rounds the bend - superb stuff!!!
What a dramatic and impactful shot! Superbly positioned and having the light trails cut through the whole image from top to bottom really made it - there was quite a lot of photos entered from this very same position but for me this was the one that stood out amongst a set of also very good shots. Well done, and wanted to let you know that you only just missed the top ten, fought off be some amazing images but not to take anything away from this one - 11th on my list which I don't think the site will tell you. Fabulous work!
I love love love this shot! I stared at it for so long to take it in, and admired just how well balanced the light is in the shot without any of the highlights blowing out. The milky surface of the water and then those perfectly simple and flowing lights really make it! Fabulous work and thank you for sharing this with us all.
This was one of the best city scape light trails I've seen. The balance of your composition is superb, really nice position you have found here. THe balance of the light trails in different directions and on different levels really make it and have very successfully managed the bright levels of the headlights as to not over do it and over expose them. Absolutely love it!

I wanted to leave a little review for you on this amazing shot, as you only just missed out on a top ten finish in the competition (12th) but felt it was so hard to choose amongst so many great shots the least I could do was let you still know just how good this shot was. Composition was superb, the light tail giving like a glowing edge to the whole bridge is a great touch of photography spotting and then the backdrop of a perfectly gradiented sky - seriously nice image!
Fab fab fab shot! To manage to get this in daytime is something and very unusual which is why it was so high up on my list (13th in the end) but I just loved how the trails lead to the bridge and then stop perfectly there as if they went through a time portal! Brilliant!!!! Well done a lovely image!
