Lighthouses

Sometimes less is more, and I definitely think it is the case with this image. That awesome beam of light is fabulous and takes the viewer to the lighthouse and although only a small section has been shown here, it matters not. Thank you for entering this contest.

What a wonderful feeling of space and fresh air you get from looking at this image. I can almost feel the wind rushing past me and making me catch my breath. Beautifully clear and crisp and the clouds are perfection. No harsh or over editing tricks have been used here but just sublime image taking. Well done on evoking such feelings when I look at this.

It's lovely to see something different here. I've never seen anything like it. I love the unfussy nature of this image and the lighthouse just looms in front of you shrouded in mist. As soon as I saw this image I was hooked. Its got a wonderful moody atmosphere to it and so much depth. It gives the viewer an amazing sense of movement as if you are being brought back and forth on these waves. It's very subtle which is a refreshing change to oversaturated images I've seen. A fabulous long exposure for the clouds which totally draws you in! The contrast of the swirls on the lighthouse really grabs the viewer's attention. I love this image as its most unusual with its subject matter. I have never seen a view like this and it's very refreshing!
