This image stood out as soon as I saw it, with its creative capture of the long shadows created by the key and door handle. I don't know if the scene is set-up or as found, but the light from low down at the side is unusual and creative. The rest of the scene is appropriately illuminated, not too dark and not too bright. Well composed with all the verticals nice and straight. Congratulations on your winning image.
I love the bright contrasting colours in this shot, along with the tones and textures that create a lovely feel to the image. Little everyday scenes such as this can be so easy to pass by without realising their potential for a great photograph, and luckily you had your photographer's eye at the ready taking in your surroundings ready for a great capture. Congratulations on your third place finish.

Thers were understandably a lot of entries showing love locks left in certain locations in towns and cities, where their numbers get added to over time. This little collection of padlocks caught my eye. The composition works well, with plenty of space surrounding the subject to prevent them looking cramped within the frame. The selection of a wide aperture was a good choice, as it has allowed the central locks to be in sharp focus, with everything else in front and behind pleasingly in soft focus. I love the colours and tones too. Great images, well done on your top ten placing.
