There is so much to see within this image that I found myself zooming closer and closer in, curious, excited myself about the frenzy of dynamism occurring on that tree. Still, I'm sure I've only caught about a tenth of all that's going on, and that's part of this image's beauty. Sometimes a shot is about minimising distractions, going minimalistic; other times it's about picturing dynamism and capturing the natural chaos of things in the most elegant way possible. That's what the photographer has achieved in this shot. I love the colour palette. The creamy-neutral base of beige and grey, speckled with the highlighter-yellow tails and the bright red berries - it's perfection. A fantastic shot that is without a shadow of a doubt deserving of first place. Well done!
There is great composition in this capture, with the bunches of incense sticks creating lines that go diagonally from corner to corner of the frame, and the subject positioned at 2/3 of an imaginary grid. This image would have not looked this tidy and appealing if the photographer hadn't taken as good care of composition as they clearly have. The magenta of the incense sticks is striking, the sharpness and detail of the image incredible, making this shot a very memorable and successful capture. Well done!

This image inspires pure joy. From the perfect blue sky, to the hazy mountain in the distance, to the low & golden sunlight, to the tens of bright colourful air balloons gracing the sky: this shot makes me happy. It is a well-framed and well-captured image, the colours saturated just enough, and I could stare at it all day to soak up the happiness it emanates. Well done!
