Low-Key Lighting with Strong Shadows and Contrasts

This contest is for your photos that have both low key lighting and strong, high-contrasts, creating photos that use light to pull subjects from the surrounding darkness. This helps create drama and three-dimensional forms, and is a technique sometimes known as chiaroscuro lighting. The subject can be anything you choose but the darkness should be just as important as the light in defining your subject, along with deep shadows and bright highlights. Photos can be in colour or black and white.
