Firstly, thank you for entering my challenge. Not only is this a low key portrait but it also tends to depict a darker, more somber mood emenating from the subject. He seems to be deep in thought as if carrying a heavy burden upon his shoulders., even the clasped hands tend to depict a matter of concern. Congratulations and well done!

Firstly, thank you for entering my challenge. An example of an excellent portrayal of the concept "Low Key Portraiture". The lighting is extremely impressive allowing only a partial part of the face vsible to the viewer. Great attention has been paid to detail such as the red pair of sunglasses and the lighting of a cigarette. The direct gaze at the viewer tends to draw one in so as to peruse the image further. Firstly, thank you for entering my challenge. The darker more somber feel of the image is further enhanced by the low key nature and the usage of black and white. One's eye is immediatly drawn to the hunched over man who tends to emenate feelings of distress and bewilderment. What the exact nature of these circumstances are we shall never know but can only surmise. Congratulations and well done!

By viewing his hand one can depict that he has led a hardened life or uses his hands in order to fulfill his craftmanship. Congratulations and well done!

The viewer is caught up in this image as his eye contact is pre-dominant drawing one into the image in order to peruse it further.
