Magpies

A simple image that captures the essence of a magpie for me. They always seem to be up to something and on the move looking for the next scavenge. A well focused bird on a nicely diffused background that still leaves a small amount of detail to show us its habitat. The panoramic crop has left plenty of room for the birds flight path, thank you for sharing your photo with us all.

Magpies seem to be into everything and your photo has caught their behaviour just perfect. Enough food for all yet they still fight. A great action shot with the poor fox no longer with us. The magpie is the great street cleaner of all things carrion. Winter scene perfectly exposed with action well captured.

Great Shot. Less is more, we all know the magpie is on a zebra but your crop has kept the magpie as the focal point but sitting on a great background. Mono works well here pulling all the elements together. You have taken a great image which I am sure you are proud of.

A nice uncluttered magpie picture. A typical pose of these great birds, always on the lookout for the next adventure. Eye contact with the bird is good, he seems to be watching you but pretending he isn't. A clear blue sky is a rare sight for the UK too. Great shot.
