Thank you for adding this photo of the Bat. I had to reconfirm Bats are mammals and the only ones that can fly for a sustained period of time. You have captured the perfect moment in this photo with the bat just coming out of the water and the droplets flying around. The photo is well exposed, tack sharp and the water has a nice glow to it.
Congratulations on 9th
The photographer is lucky as I am envious of this photo. I missed out on seeing any tree climbing Lions at Lake Nakuru.
The Lioness, with her gaze, looks as comfortable as a Leopard on a tree. The tree branches suggest she is reasonably high up and can scan the forest for prey. The soft evening light adds to the overall mood of the photo.
Congratulations on 3rd
This is an excellent photo. The eye level shot and the light on the Lioness makes her stand out. The photo is tack sharp. Her being partially hidden in the grass adds to the suspense....
I cannot help but comment on the photographer's callousness in getting off the vehicle. No objection from the driver / guide? The photographer is lucky as any Mama in the wild with her children, be it big cats or otherwise, can be very aggressive
I always thought the only time a Wildebeest looks good is in a Lion's grip. The photographer has proved me wrong and has produced a stunning back /rim lit photo of the Wildebeest with the Acacia. The composition is spot on, the angle is excellent, the lighting is perfect, a true masterpiece
Congratulations on 7th
A very well composed photo with perfect exposure and the rim lighting standing out.
I can picture this scene. The 2 cheetahs huddled together in the savannahs waiting for the sun to rise. Once it starts warming up, they start stirring, stretching and scanning the horizon for their favourite food - the Thomson's Gazelle
Congratulations on 4th
The photographer has done a stunning job with the angle of this photo given that the Fox is moving. The composition is excellent and it is well exposed. with no blown highlights or shadows. The rim lighting on the Fox, the tack sharp eyes, the depth of field and the angle are good.
Congratulations on 6th
Wow.....a Lioness chasing some Buffalo at Dusk. You made the choice easy for me.
My only critique of this photo it's not easy to figure what the Lioness is chasing.
Dust kicked up by the buffalo and the red glow of the morning light adds to the mysterious mood of this photo. The photographer has done well by making sure the shutter speed was high to avoid any motion blur.
Congratulations on the Win
