Great contest!

Landscapes can be minimalist as well and this beautiful copse is done beautifully. The frost and mist blend the colors and landscape so well that the winter trees stand out while still nicely muted. Congratulations on your Top 10 in Minimalist Nature!

Seascapes can also be minimalist and this is a beautiful example. Thanks to a long exposure, the ocean is nicely blurred and the pastel colors allow the rock to stand out. This is such a peaceful scene and so inviting. Congratulations on your Top 10 in Minimalist Nature!

A different view of a ladybird, who seems to think it's perfectly hidden. Perfectly centered, with plenty of negative space on either side, the insect and the blade of grass catch the viewers eye perfectly. This was taken in an unmowed garden which is the perfect way to support pollinators. Love it! Congratulations on your Top 10 in Minimalist Nature!

There were many entries of dragonflies however I love this minimalist portrayal of a fascinating insect. Sitting at the top of a vining plant, the red of the insect stands out immediately from the blurred, negative space green background. Well done! Congratulations on your Top 10 in Minimalist Nature!

By definition, minimalism is creating a photo that emphasizes the subject my eliminating distracting elements and using negative space. This gorgeous photo captures that essence by leading the viewers eye directly to the anthers and stigma of the lily. Only one is sharp, with soft focus on the others fading to a perfectly smooth blur of the pink flower. A lovely example of a minimalist photo! Congratulations on 1st Place in Minimalist Nature!
