A different view of a ladybird, who seems to think it's perfectly hidden. Perfectly centered, with plenty of negative space on either side, the insect and the blade of grass catch the viewers eye perfectly. There were many entries of dragonflies however I love this minimalist portrayal of a fascinating insect. By definition, minimalism is creating a photo that emphasizes the subject my eliminating distracting elements and using negative space. This gorgeous photo captures that essence by leading the viewers eye directly to the anthers and stigma of the lily. Only one is sharp, with soft focus on the others fading to a perfectly smooth blur of the pink flower. A lovely example of a minimalist photo! Congratulations on 1st Place in Minimalist Nature!
