I love the squared-off format of this image, it really helps to narrow the view down to the subject in the frame. The long exposure really helps to create that extra negative space by smoothing out the texture of the water and really helps the old pier stand out in the scene. Really nicely composed and fantastic editing done, thank you for entering my contest!
A really nice simplistic image. I like the distance from subject and the alignment on the top third. The edit on it has been done very well, the space around the subject is nice and clean with nothing to distract the eye. The only criticism I have is that the space to either side of the pier is not even to the edge of the image. The detail on the pier itself is great, I love that you can make out the individual birds and the frame work is nice and sharp!

This is about as minimalist as it can get! Great use of the frame, those leading lines running the diagonal from corner to corner . The subject not landing on one of the thirds is something that would usually annoy me but in this instance breaking the rules works! The small amount of texture in the water just works. Thank you for entering my contest!

This is a gorgeous image, the texture of the mountains has been edited really well and the tones of the image are spot on not too dark and the highlights haven't been blown out. For me the bluish tone is slightly over done but that is a personal preference! In terms of meeting the brief for the minimalist waterscape, I feel that this image just has too much detail for it to be considered minimal but I wanted to write this review to tell you how much I enjoyed seeing it.
