Mist, fog and haze

September 2018

You had to resist temptation to convert it to black and white, didn't you? I really like you kept it in color. Subtle color pallete really sets the mood here and non-contrast edit helps the statue to pop out. It would be a lovely CD cover!

Wow, just wow. There was plethora of shots from amazing locations in amazing light like this one, but no one gave the image so much love, like the author here. Clean point of interest–check. Leading lines–check. Contrasty editing with lots of detail in shadow–check. Color grading further improving color contrast–check.

Great eye! What a great minimalist shot we have here. Black and white really compliments the scene here. But step or two forward or even cropping in after would make it so much cleaner. Just a repetitiveness alone would make an illusion of infinity.

This is the testament to quote "Best camera is the one you have with you". I really enjoy geeking inside exif information and I am always pleasantly suprised when I see a great photograph taken with minimal gear or even a smartphone. Strong scene, good composition and tastefull editing is all you need whatever equipment you are using. Great job.

This shot seems unreal, it feels almost like it was made with CGI. I would love to see it without web compression. Beautiful light complemented by a really nice edit embracing darker tones but keeping away of blacks. It begs to printed on paper!

Winning image taken with an entry level camera with kit lens–love it! This one really stood out for me. Almost black and white color pallete broken by color detail leading to main subject. Also really clean compositon for a documentary shot.

Taking high-quality photographs in misty or foggy conditions can sometimes prove challenging. In order to end up with photos that don't look washed out or blurred, it's important to use techniques that bring out the very best from these other-worldly environments. You'll be rewarded by shots that are as dramatic as they are atmospheric!
