Mistletoe

This is exactly the way I love to discover mistletoe when walking outdoor! A beautiful and long row of high and naked tree silhouettes, with lots of knots, here and there on the branches. The photographer was lucky to have a great sunset as bonus for this wide landscape, valued by the panoramic format of the photo. Thank you for participating!

This photo could not be more elegant, showing the beauty of the form of one, single and small branch of mistletoe.! The deep black background strenghtens the sober composition and values the delicate hues of the green leaves and the remarkable, pearly white berries. I can imagine it hanging on the ceiling for a kiss under the mistletoe at New year's Eve! The prestigious Hampton Court Palace Gardens host many trees in their parks, largely covered with balls of mistletoe and are so proud about it that visits are conducted for discovery of this honored plant! The wide angle is perfectly appropriated for this shot, which could not be better: a beautiful old tree, almost dominating the historic castle! Which one is the star? Glorious composition and colours for this photo! The wide diagonal sunset colours shine over a discrete grey-blue landscape, slightly hazy.
