What a feast for the eyes this is. This was a very close call with the number one spot and I had some hard decision making with these top two entries. Very similar to the first placed image but more going on here. Again, bang on brief and beautifully created. I like the blue tone which keeps it grounded. You can look and look again and still find something to keep you interested. I've been a bit strict in this contest with how the montage is blended. The dictionary states "the technique of selecting, editing, and piecing together separate sections of film to form a continuous whole." My top ten are like this. A wonderful piece of work here.

A stunning montage of a great subject for my winning image. The photographer has entered a genuine montage where shots are blended into one main image. The idea of montage is to take images and seamlessly blend into a storytelling showcasing event .
One image cannot always show you everything but by combining lots of images it creates a sense of occasion. The loco on the right is the big feature and literally steams its way into the image grabbing your attention. Lots of gorgeous merged shots and I really like the vintage toning. Totally on brief and a worthy winner indeed.

If you have had a day out or several visits to one place, the best way to show your time there is to make a montage; a collection of images put into one image as if it's an advert showcasing the place, day or event. Try your hand at creating a montage.

I love this montage. Its colourful yet subtle at the same time and full of action. You can almost feel the wind on your face and hear the noise of those lovely old aircraft doing their stunts. I think this would make a great billboard advert for the airshow. Perfectly on brief, well done.

This was created using a phone! Beautifully executed and I just love the white uncluttered background. I'm not a fan of phones for photography but this is a great piece of work . All images blended so well and the black and white adds drama and clarity to this. Well done.

Montages are a wonderful way to keep memories alive as is the case here. It was lovely to read the photographers reason for creating this. He said it was not for unhappy memories but happy times he had with his dogs. I've done similar creations for people that wanted memories of their dogs that have now passed. The grass is slightly different in colour because of the shots blended but in my eyes does not detract from beautiful memories. After all, a camera takes hard copies of our memories. Another great reason to capture moments now.

A very eye catching stop and look at me montage! A clever use of colour popping certain parts of this gives it impact and an action packed feel. I love the red car driving out at you in a 3D way. Well done for creating a full throttle in your face montage.
