Moon rise

As soon as I saw this photo, it caught my eye. I like how minimal/simple it as. Not an easy shot to get travelling at speed. A worthy winner and unique.

This photo was unique and I can see some thought went into it. I liked the set up in the foreground and also the moon light on the sea. A worthy third place.

Another classic idea and well executed. Good detail in the moon and some nice foreground to go with it.

I'm guessing this was a composite getting all the detail in the milkyway as well? Either way, a stunning photo and a worthy top ten. Lovely detail in all areas.

This is the sort of traditional idea I was looking for (no artificial shots). Great detail and the sort of thing I had in mind when proposing this contest.

Nicely timed. A bit different to the other entries and I was looking for some different entries. The balloon is nice and sharp and contrasts nicely with the moon.
