Mountain Lakes in Colour

It is a beautiful photograph of a mountain lake that I am pleased to distinguish. From the outset, I liked this photo by the mysterious atmosphere that emanated in particular by this mist presents just enough. Then when entering the photo, there are a multitude of details that appear: ducks, spider webs, frost ..... The tone is soft like that of an early morning, the composition is very successful, the depth of field is well controlled: it is a precise photo that invites the viewer to imagine a story. This is what I like about the photo: the precision and the invitation to dream. Congratulations

This long pose by Christoph gives a special and very soft atmosphere to this pretty mountain lake. The depth of field is there, the mist blurs just what it takes the mountains in the background to make room for the imagination. In my eyes, however, I find it unfortunate to be stopped in my reverie by this bouquet of central trees. Perhaps it would have been necessary, if the shooting conditions allowed it, to shift to give all the depth to the lake. The color treatment may be a little on the roses but the whole is very pleasant to look at. Congratulations for this beautiful image

It is a nice panorama that John offers us with pretty warm colors and this fleeting perspective. It is a precise photo with an adequate depth of field from the foreground to the mountains in the background. In my eyes, it lacks either a little perspective, or a little height in the image to be able to inscribe the treetops on the left. This is the only point that bothers me in this neat composition. The color processing is top notch, just right. Congratulations

Congratulations Martin for this beautiful image, very gentle and which invites you to dream. Your composition is neat, your depth of field well controlled to give a precise photo. However, I would have preferred a little more perspective to give more scope to the lake. Among all the photos that presented this type of foreground and this perspective, I liked the overall tone of yours which leaves a lot of room for the imagination.

This panoramic of Andriy instantly caught my eye with its brightness and its beautiful overall tone. The depth of field and the sharpness are there for this incentive to discover. In my eyes, however, it lacks a bit of height in the image to be able to write a little more lake and distance from the mountains. The color processing may be a little too thorough on the roses but the whole is pleasant to look at. Congratulations
