While reviewing all the entries into the contest, I kept being pulled back to this photo. She gave me a sense of her falling ever so gracefully. She reminded me of the graceful presence of a ballet dancer.

You have made her movement an amazing photo. I truly enjoyed it from the water bubbles you see to the flow of hair and gown.

Thank you for your entry

Excellent use of light and darkness. The beautiful thing about your photo is not only does it show movement but tells a story

For me I have seen two versions of the photo in my head. A child running to someone or something in fear. Or a joyful child playing.

I particularly enjoyed how your photo only captured the smallest amount of the frame, but told a huge story

Thank you for submitting this photo to the contest. Watching this child enjoying the simple things in life. I truly felt as if I was there watching them fly up and down.

The black in white captured all the movement well in the photo

This contest is for your photos of any moving subject that appears suspended in time. Try to capture the moving subject so it looks like the motion has been paused mid-action. Examples include running, jumping, twirling, or capturing all the action of hair flying, arms flailing, waves crashing, etc., all with the movement suspended in time. A great photo showing movement also suggests the seconds that will follow the suspended moment, giving the viewer a strong sense of what will happen when the scene is “unpaused.”.

At first glance I thought it was staged, but closer look it’s as natural as a photo can get. Excellent job capturing the essence of the weather conditions and human struggles with Mother Nature.

From the grass swaying to the tent flapping you captured movement. Excellent job
