Multicolour

It's a real treat to be up close and personal to the animal kingdom in this way. Not only is this a wonderful piece of wildlife photography, this is a fantastic portrait - we see beautiful detail and personality within the image.

I love this photograph for its subject matter, portrayal of colour, and the fact that one frog is quite humourously clambering over the others. We see comedy, nature, bold colours, and technical expertise all combined in one very well captured photograph.

Wildlife photography takes such patience, skill and expert timing. This image shows all three qualities. The framing of the subject matter is strong, dynamic and striking. We are drawn immediately to the piercing eye of the bird, perfectly contrasted with the colours that clash nearby. We see texture and detail. There is a cold intensity about the subject matter that draws us in to this photograph.

There's something beautifully jarring about this image. We see movement, colour and contrast between old and young. Primary colours pop and dazzle. The photograph is intriguing and we wonder if these two men know each other, or are just passing strangers.

I find this photograph incredibly pleasing to look at - a red lorry carves through the yellow field. We see technology juxtaposed with nature. The photograph is abstract yet familiar with a bold use of colour. The image's simplicity makes it strong and striking.
