From the minute I saw this image it was destined to be in my top ten listing. The subject matter is perfect for Still Life and the tones of the grapes and the leaves are magical. Placed against a rustic background and plinth it looks like a masterpiece waiting to be painted. I love the subtle touches of the single grapes scattered on the plinth. Congratulations for getting 2nd place.
This is one of those images that you can almost smell the coffee in. I am a big coffee fan and the aroma this image evokes is wonderful. The image has fabulous muted tones and so many textures. The more I look, the more I want to put my hand into the image and grab a spoonful of freshly ground coffee. Congratulations for 3rd placing.
I absolutely adore this image. It is bang on brief and quite an unusual image but it is how I class a Still Life image in natural light. Everything is beautifully placed and all the components in this, gel together to make this a fabulous image. Many congratulations for having the winning image.

I really do like this image and subject. I love the warm but uncluttered background and the use of mostly browns, apart from the pears. My one little niggle would be the wheat has been cut off on the right of the image, to me this is such a shame as I would love to have seen all the wheat as I think this would give more balance to the image.

Harnessing light is easily one of the most difficult aspects of photography. How you manage and direct natural light will dramatically change the mood of your photos, and can be one of the biggest obstacles to its overall appeal. You don’t need expensive equipment to fine tine natural light, but doing some prior research on techniques is definitely advised.
There's more nothing, than something in this shot, and how clever of the photographer to make you, the viewer recreate the rest of the guitar in your head. Fabulous light that just settles onto the edge of the guitar and just over half of the strings. Its very clever as it keeps you looking for more details, but what you cant see you imagine. Brilliant.
