This image works so well in black and white, enhancing the contrast and detail in each strand of fur and the skin. The composition is great with the surrounding tree framing this handsome gorilla, along with good separation from the fencing in the back.

The detail you've captured here is brilliant, with every strand of fur popping so well from the image and giving us a lot to explore and admire. Be cautious when doing selective adjustments with a hard brush as this can be quite obvious in the end image.

This is such a fantastic, artistic image showing how silhouettes aren't always 'cliche' and easy to do. The composition is spot on, the image works really well in black and white and almost gives the ground the feel or appearance of the moon.

The shallow depth of field works so well here to enhance the sharpness on the fur and the facial features. The shine and reflection in the eye is truly beautiful and draws you in well, enhancing the narrative of a harder life with one eye lost.

What incredible light you've captured here, enhanced further with the fact that you've chosen to backlight the image. The spray coming off the wings really adds to the image and I love that we can still see all the detail on the face and front too.

I love the subtle colours in this image, framed so well by the creamy white petals. I think this image could work even better with a square crop to remove the back peeping in through the petals from the background.

This image is so 'simple' that it allows us to appreciate every fine detail on the feathers and eyes without being drawn away. Whilst I very much like the warm colour palette, this image could also work well in black and white.

The eye contact really draws you into the image and I love the shallow depth of field which enhances the sharpness and detail on the face. I'd consider increasing the exposure slightly, as well as cooling down the white balance ever so slightly.

You've captured so much fine detail on this bee, with every strand from its body and legs and the gorgeous, intricate detail on the eyes. I love the colour contrast from the browns and greens to those beautiful purples and violets.

The subtle spotlighting hitting the young racoons face really adds to the image and whilst the composition perhaps doesn't follow all of the compositional guidelines, it still works! As an alternative, I think this could work well with a square crop.

Canada geese aren't typically a fan favourite amongst photographers and the general public alike, but no one can deny they have personality and 'swag' which can shine through in images. I love how you have them walking towards you in a line, with great context of the surroundings without introducing distractions.

Spiders can creep some people out, myself included, but when you look at them up close and see such fabulous detail and colours it's hard not to see them in a different light. The depth of field here is spot on, ensuring the entire spiders body is in focus and the background doesn't distract. I love the colour palette which is natural yet vibrant.

What a character! I love the separation you've achieved fro the background and whilst it looks like a simple fence post or bench, the depth of field ensures that it still looks aesthetically pleasing, with a great warm colour palette too.

It can be difficult to capture the personality of the wildlife you photograph, but when you succeed your images can be transformed into something even better than the ones before. I love the quirky character you've captured on this gull and the composition is fabulous. I'd consider cooling down the white balance ever so slightly to remove the pink tinge.

This horse has so much personality and charisma shining through in this image, paired with a slightly goofy side too! I love how he's wearing a bracken wig and this frames him really well with the trees in the background.
