I like the colours in this, and the low mist really adds to the atmosphere. It's composed pretty well, it is leaning to the right a bit though. It needs some anti clockwise rotation to level it out, it's not too obvious but once you look at the trees and waterline you will notice it every time :)
What a lush sunrise, there's something special about being up and out while the world is still sleeping! I think this is composed pretty well, usually 50/50 horizon doesn't work but this looks pretty good. make sure you keep an eye on the horizon though especially when you are shooting water as it needs to be perfectly level :)

Welcome to Photocrowd’s ‘Landscapes’ contest for New Joiners! These contests are a chance for new members to introduce their photography to the community, and get a taste of how Photocrowd contests work. They can be entered by anyone within their first 28 days of joining Photocrowd. After 100 images have been submitted the contest closes and the Crowd will start rating the images. The Expert Judge will also be judging the images and writing reviews at the same time. All the winners, both Crowd and Expert, will be announced after 3 days of judging. Make sure you also check out our two other New Joiners contests - ‘People’ and ‘Animals’.

I think there's definitely potential for a really strong shot here with a little more processing. It could do with being warmed up a little and I'd probably add a vignette to help lead my eyes through the image. I like the composition, the path leads through nicely and the trees look great especially all the leaves on the ground.
First of all let me start by saying that shooting centre jour is a very difficult thing to do so it's always going to be a night mare to expose. In this instance I wouldn't use an ND filter but would exposure bracket instead as you have, but I'd shoot 5 shots all 1 stop apart to give me that range to get the sun close. It's always going to be overexposed but rather than shooting it at f4 if you close down your aperture to say f18 you should get a nice sun star which will look nicer than just an overexposed sun! Kudos to you for getting up so early to go and bag the shots!
